The Police violence deplored by Kinshasa city commander

Kinshasa, April 1st, 2025 (CPA) – TheViolence and acts of brutality committed during various police interventions in the city of Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), have been deplored on Monday during a moral discussion, according to a press release from the provincial police station.
« During the meeting, the provincial police commissioner has deplored the brutality and all forms of the police violence committed during various police operations in Kinshasa.
According to the source, the Commander of the Congolese National Police in the city of Kinshasa has reminded the heads of the units of their regalian mission, before also mentioning the instructions relating to the security of the population.
In addition to police blunders, a number of other issues have been also raised during this moral talk by the Provincial Commissioner of the Congolese National Police in Kinshasa.
These included traffic jams, pirate markets and the uncontrolled occupation of urban roads by abandoned or broken-down vehicles.
